Oil Strike at Doyle's Dome #1 Lane County, Kansas
On Tuesday July 1st we struck oil in the K zone on our first drill stem test. At 5:30 PM on July 2nd the geologist found oil shows from samples in the upper L zone. The video at right shows the crew prepararing for the drill stem test, the geologist in action, and footage of the drill stem process, including free oil pumping from the pipe and then to the retaining pit. So far we have hit significant oil in the K, upper L, Marmaton A & Marmaton B pay zones.
